The incident occurred in the Udaimol district of Gangapur. A recovering Covid-19 patient used an oxygen generator at home.
According to the police, due to Covid-19, Sultan Singh, brother of IAS Har Sahay Meena, had difficulty breathing in the past two months. An oxygen generator was arranged for him to help him breathe, and he is recovering at home. Singh’s wife, Santosh Meena, the principal of a girls’ high school, is taking care of him.

On Saturday morning, as soon as Santosh Meena turned on the lights, the oxygen generator exploded. It is believed that this machine leaked oxygen, and when the switch was turned on, the oxygen ignited and ignited the entire house.
The neighbor who heard the explosion rushed out and found the couple screaming, engulfed by flames. The two were pulled from the fire and taken to the hospital, but Santosh Meena died on the way. Sultan Singh has been transferred to a hospital in Jaipur for treatment and is reported to be in critical condition.
Their two sons, 10 and 12 years old, were not in the house at the time of the accident and were unharmed.
The police have opened a case and are interrogating the shopkeeper who supplied the oxygen concentrator. The shopkeeper claimed that the machine was made in China. Preliminary investigations revealed that the compressor in the installation exploded, but the cause has not yet been determined.
