The sodium citrate solution is added to the blood collecting tube for anticoagulation, and the ratio of anticoagulant to blood is1: 4. For the determination of erythrocyte sedimentation rate. 13x75mm tube is specially used for blood specimens collection and anticoagulation in Westergren sedimentation test. 8x120mm tube can be used with ESR rack or automatic blood sedimentation
instrument.
